The surprising power of letting go
Sep 25, 2025I’ve noticed something interesting lately.
When we talk about building a coaching business — or any business, really — the conversation almost always centres around adding more.
- More tools.
- More platforms.
- More strategies.
- More content.
But here’s the thing: sometimes the real growth comes not from adding, but from subtracting.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been quietly experimenting with letting go of a few things in my business. And it’s not always easy. There’s a part of me that believes if I’m not saying yes to everything, I might miss out.
But the truth? Each time I’ve dropped something that wasn’t serving me — whether that was an unnecessary tool, an unproductive task, or an old habit of overcommitting — I’ve gained something better in return.
✨ I’ve gained clarity.
✨ I’ve gained energy.
✨ I’ve gained momentum.
Letting go has created space — space for what actually matters.
It’s a bit counterintuitive, isn’t it? We assume success means doing more, but in reality, success often starts with doing less… and doing the right things better.
That’s why in this week’s video, I dig into what that looks like in practice, why letting go is so difficult, and how it’s been a real game changer for me.
And I’d love to hear from you: What’s one thing you’re ready to let go of in your business or your life right now?
Hit reply, leave a comment or DM and let me know — I’d be fascinated to hear.
Here’s to creating space,
Mike
