The bit about my job I don't usually admit

Here's something I don't say very often.

I coach people to speak on camera for a living. Live training, client work, webinars, all fine. But the second I record for my own channel, as me, I still sometimes freeze.

This week I finally explain why, and it goes back to a childhood stammer and the strange fact that I could sing the words I couldn't say.

The short version: freezing on your own camera almost never means you lack confidence. It means you've lost your usual cover, and being seen as yourself is a completely different skill from performing. One you can practise.

In the video I break down why it happens and the three things that actually helped me show up as myself.

If you've ever felt it too, hit reply and tell me the moment it hits you hardest. I read every one.
