How does FastTrack! Coaching work?

You have a choice between face-to-face, telephone, and Skype. Personal Coaching consists of six meetings or calls over three months.

Face-to-Face Coaching

All appointments are in London, and last 60 minutes. Appointments are at The Cavendish Hotel (Piccadilly), or The Rembrandt Hotel (South Kensignton).

Telephone Coaching

85% of coaching in the world takes place on the telephone - so it works! You have a choice of two programmes offering sessions 60 or 30 minutes long - plus call charges to landlines are included in your coaching fee to more than 20 counties.

Homework

These are the tasks or actions you will be doing each week to really make a difference. Whilst coaching appointments are important, what's even more important is what you do between them, as that is what will change your life.

How long will I be coaching for?

Our initial contract will be for 3 months, after which you will be able to schedule extra months as you wish. Most clients tend to coach for between 3-6 months, though some are longer depending on what they're working on and achieving. You will never be given the ‘hard sell’ to continue, as I believe this would be something totally at odds with the coaching Code of Ethics and my own personal values.

What will I get from coaching?

After coaching more than 1,400 people, I know the answer would be different for all of them. Generally I hear words such as accountability, direction, inspiration, focus, sounding board, motivation, fun, challenge, plan of action, and support. That said, coaching is focused, meaning we will always know where you're heading towards as you state your objectives at the beginning of every session - and then measure your progress against it.

Do you have a niche?

I'm known as a Career & Motivational Coach. The original term for Personal Coaching was 'Life Coaching', and I still think it's important your goals should be ecological and in harmony with all other areas of your life. My clients are men and women who generally want to build a better work/life balance, career, confidence, and motivation. Other area that also often come up include strategy, planning, and relationships. I'm a trainer with the world's largest coach training school, The Coaching Academy, and also a coach and writer for the Fiona Harrold Consultancy.

What are your fees?

Rates depend on the type of coaching, and also the duration of the coaching commitment - I also offer discounts from time to time for subscribers of my FREE eNewsletter. Please call or email to discuss your coaching requirements and receive a quote for your coaching investment.

How do I make payment?

If you have a UK bank account, you can pay by cheque or bank transfer, otherwise you can make an International Bank Transfer, or pay by credit/debit card via PayPal. International payments can be made or sent in local currencies.

Do you have a guarantee?

I offer a FREE 20 minute initial telephone conversation to help you decide if I'm the right coach for you. After that, if you're not totally convinced you've received the best possible coaching once you've completed your first coaching session you can ask for a refund (minus the fee at standard rates for the first session).

Note: This is a one-time option, which you may exercise at the end of the first session only.

Is there a contract?

Yes, you will be asked to sign a coaching contract before we can begin work together -two copies, one for you to keep, and one for me to keep.

What if I decide not to complete our contract?

If at any point during the coaching term you’re not getting value, we’ll both know it. You may cease coaching at the end of any four-week cycle. If you have pre-paid for 3 months in advance you would get a full refund for the unused portion of whole months. You would then be charged at the normal rate for the coaching you have used, rather than at the discounted rate.

What kind of people are your clients?

Men and women in the 20-55 age group, though I have also coached younger University graduates and my oldest client was a sprightly 74 years young! I work with some clients face-to-face, whilst others are on the telephone or via the internet. Some people live in London or the UK, with many others across the world, including Spain, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Canada, USA, Brazil, Singapore, and Australia. Business Coaching clients have included Virgin Atlantic, Standard Bank, Sky Sports, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Japan 09

Just got back from an amazing couple of weeks in Japan.

Having just stepped off the plane late last night, the feeling today is just how many adventures somehow got crammed into 16 days.

For now here are some initial impressions from a magical Christmas/New Year trip 2009/10...

Quote of the day... 'Whether you believe you can, or whether you believe you can't - you're probably right!'
Henry T Ford

'Dear Mike: 'Thank you so much for the coaching we've done this year. I know I'm in a totally different place now than I was 12 months ago, and whilst you remind me it's me that has done all the work, I also know it's you I have to thank with all the support and encouragement to get me there. I look forward to continue coaching with you in 2009 and achieving some more of my dreams - which I now know can become my reality.''
Tony Roberts, Entrepreneur, Birmingham, England

'Dear Mike: 'I attended the workshop you did with The Coaching Academy this weekend, and I wanted to write to say firstly a big thank you for all the energy and insight you put into the two days, and also let you know your inspiration has helped me decide I also want to train as a coach. Who know' s what type of coach I'll be just yet, though just to know I'm 'a work in progress' as I remember you said we all are, is a good place to be. I know we'll be in touch and I look forward to doing some more of my coach training with you.
Brian Davis, Birmingham, England
